Life & Humor
Not every conversation has to be profound. Jon and Tara bring the laughs โ because a marriage without humor is just a very long, serious meeting. These are the moments where they just let it fly.
Someone asked how we stayed married over 20 years. I said, "Because I'm hot." Then right away I said โ actually, it's a good sense of humor. But I stand by both answers.
To stay married for 20 years, you have to have an unrealistic self-image. I mean โ I have the most amazing baggage. Why would I want to leave it behind?
If something happens to me, you heard it here first โ she'd be at the pickleball courts within six months. Already had her knee replacements, ready to go. I'm aging into that category myself.
Tara is an acquired taste. I mean, I'm just saying โ thankfully you acquired the taste. You had the patience, you got to be around her for a little while, you got to find the reasons behind what she says. Then you got to get over the offensive things she says. But I'm grateful.
I need a motorcycle for each day of the week. I don't think that's unreasonable. That's just practical planning for someone who takes transportation seriously.
