Martial Arts & Discipline
Jon is a martial arts instructor. Tara trains alongside him. The discipline, the mindset, the warrior code โ it doesn't stay in the dojo. It shows up in their marriage, business, and everything they teach.
You've got to have your strength, your stamina, your capabilities โ dynamic athleticism, strength in motion. Whether you're on the mat or in life, the principle is the same: you train so you're ready.
Men are natural defenders โ that warrior instinct, when you train it and discipline it, it becomes something you carry into everything you do. It's not aggression. It's responsibility.
There's a difference between assertiveness and dominance โ and most people can't articulate it. Assertiveness is knowing your value. Dominance is trying to control. One builds respect, the other destroys it.
Come into everything like a white belt. Even if you've trained for years โ come in humble, come in ready to learn. The moment you think you know it all is the moment you stop growing.
Training alongside Jon changed the way I see discipline. It's not about being tough โ it's about showing up consistently, even when it's hard. That's what builds real strength.
